Tippett Studio designed and animated the dragon creature in this vivid and imaginative re-telling of the classic Grimm Brothers fairy tale from director and frequent collaborator Tarsem Singh.

VFX Art Director Nate Fredenburg’s delivered numerous dragon studies in the pursuit of a unique design that expanded on the traditional portrayal of an archetypical dragon. The final result was a creature that displayed both the fierce silhouette of the East Asian dragon and a sophisticated facial rig capable of expressing complex emotions.
