In this live-action adaptation of E.B. White’s beloved book, CG animals had to seamlessly fit in alongside their real-world counterparts. Tippett Studio was commissioned to design and animate Templeton – a scruffy, unsavory and photorealistic rat voiced by Steve Buscemi – and Elwyn (André Benjamin) and Brooks (Thomas Hayden Church), two hungry crows on a mission to catch themselves a ratty snack. The realistic fur and feathers on these characters were thanks to Tippett’s in-house fur renderer, Furrator.

Tippett Studio’s work on Templeton earned us a 2006 Visual Effects Society award nomination in the category of Outstanding Animated Character in a Live Action Motion Picture.
